These endearing leaf monkeys are made from high quality plush and are soft and cuddly. Created by the artists employed by Hansa Toys, these soft toy monkeys have a great deal of detail to them, the more you look the more you see. There are a number of species and sub-species of leaf monkey and we are not certain as to which family these particular monkeys are based. It is possible that these particular specimens are based on immature adult Pharye's leaf monkeys which are endangered.

The leaf monkey or langur is a member of the Old World Monkey group and are found primarily in Asia and Africa. They are known to have unusual stomachs and salivary glands and can feed on immature leaves, shoots, fruits and barks which are poisonous to most other animals.
