These Curly Gold traditional teddy bears are all handmade in England by Merrythought. Celebrating 80 years in 2010, Merrythought is one of our oldest UK manufacturers of teddy bears still producing traditional teddy bears today and this bear is very much like Andy Pandy's best friend, Teddy (for those of us who can remember the original TV series).
Built to last, each bear has movable arms, legs and head with locked joints and eyes and a hand-stitched nose. Merrythought use the finest long pile curly golden mohair which is hard wearing and surface washable. The standard Curly Gold Merrythought teddy bear is semi-hard packed for long life, but is still softer than many other manufactured traditional mohair teddy bears. Available in the following sizes: 25cm/10", 35cm/14" and 46cm/18".
